When Jeep announced the arrival of the new electric Jeep, the two pictures shown presented a rather compact Jeep SUV. We cannot help but be reminded of the 2022 Jeep Compass.
In fact, the 1st fully electric Jeep remains true to the legendary esthetics of the Jeep brand with, amongst other things, the classing 7- slit radiator grille. This new electric vehicle will be launched at the beginning of 2023.
The first of 75 electric models
This 100% 0 emission electric Jeep is just a first step, since Stellantis wants to sell 100 % electric vehicles in Europe between now and 2030, and 50 % in the United States.
Stellantis is an automobile manufacturing group that is the result of a merge between Peugeot-Citroën and Fiat-Chrysler.

Jeep hybrids
In Canada, Jeep already has two remarkable plug-in hybrid SUVs on the market: the Wrangler 4xe and the Grand Cherokee 4xe.
The 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe
The plug-in Wrangler 4xe integrates two electric motors, a 400 volt lithium-ion battery, a 2.0 L 4- cylinder turbo VHR and a TorqueFlite 8- speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler 4xe offers 375 horsepower and a powerful torque of 470 lb-ft.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe
The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is a high-end SUV with a 0 emission electric range of 42 km and a total range of 761 km.
The chassis includes a reinforced box that protects all vital components when you are driving on bumpy roads. The battery block is waterproof; you can tread through water that is up to 24- inches deep!
The Overland and Summit offer a multicolored ambient lighting system with adjustable LED lights, to create any mood you please.
The 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe also offers an option dual-tone roof, 16- way powered front seats with massage function and a 19- speaker 950 W McIntosh sound system (also optional).
In Europe
In Europe, Jeep also has two other hybrid utilities on the market, the Jeep Compass 4xe and the Renegade 4xe. Perhaps they’ll hit the streets in Canada soon!
